Who's Behind POP CYCLES?
POP CYCLES, has been in the making since I bought my first bike in 1998. It was a Schwinn Homegrown Mountain Bike. It came with a Shimano XT/XTR Group Set, Mavic Wheels, Michelin Tires, and a Rockshox SID Fork. The paint job was a combination of glittery purple and silver accents, and it came with its signature tomato stem cap…it was AWESOME!
I remember my very first ride on it as if it was yesterday; I’ve never felt that happy on a bike since I was a kid…23 years later, I feel the same way every time I go for a ride.
My love for bikes and cycling became my passion…and soon after, I started servicing and building my own bikes, and learning the mechanics along the way.
In addition, I have a graphic and web design background, and have great appreciation for POP Art…which is how the name POP CYCLES came about. I like to combine the best of both trades when building a bike in hopes of creating art along the way.
